A group can help when children need more than advice.

Group counselling gives children and teens structured therapeutic support while they practise coping, communication, emotional regulation, and peer problem-solving with others.

  • DBT CALM groups can help children and teens practise regulation, distress tolerance, and coping skills.
  • Anger management groups support self-control, repair, communication, and safer responses to frustration.
  • Other specialized groups may be offered based on age, readiness, and current family needs.

Group counselling is therapeutic, structured, and skills-based.

Families can ask whether a child should begin with individual counselling, group counselling, or a social skills group.
