Psychotherapy Services

Intrapersonal skills support for self-awareness and regulation.

Intrapersonal skills are the skills children use inside themselves. This support helps children understand feelings, manage reactions, build confidence, and develop healthier coping strategies.

Support for what is happening inside

A child may look angry, avoidant, distracted, withdrawn, or defiant on the outside while feeling overwhelmed on the inside. Intrapersonal work helps children notice what is happening, name it, and choose strategies that support regulation and confidence.

  • Big emotions, shutdowns, anger, worry, perfectionism, or avoidance.
  • Low self-esteem, negative self-talk, or difficulty bouncing back.
  • Children who struggle to explain what they feel or need.
  • Families who want tools for regulation, coping, and resilience.

What we work on

Sessions may support emotional awareness, coping plans, calming strategies, problem-solving, flexible thinking, self-compassion, confidence, and understanding triggers.

Why self-awareness matters

When children can notice what is happening in their body and emotions, they are more able to ask for help, pause before reacting, and use strategies that fit the situation.

Parent carryover

Parents may receive language and tools to support regulation at home, including what to say during big feelings and how to reinforce skills after the moment has passed.

How to book

Book or ask intake when your child is struggling with emotions, self-control, anxiety, frustration, or confidence and you want a clearer plan for support.
