What parents can expect

Sessions are tailored to your child's age, personality, concerns, and goals. Work may include talking, play-based strategies, emotional regulation tools, problem-solving, and parent consultation so progress does not stay only in the therapy room.

  • Anxiety, worry, sadness, irritability, or big emotions.
  • Behaviour concerns connected to stress, transitions, or self-control.
  • Low confidence, school stress, friendship challenges, or social anxiety.
  • Children who need a safe place to build language for feelings.

How sessions work

A clinician begins by understanding the concern, your child's strengths, and the settings where difficulties show up. Sessions may use conversation, creative activities, role play, regulation tools, and skill practice depending on the child's age and needs.

Skills we may build

Children may work on naming feelings, noticing body signals, calming strategies, flexible thinking, problem-solving, confidence, and communication skills that can be used at home, school, and with peers.

Parent involvement

Parents are included in a way that supports the child. This may include brief check-ins, parent coaching, or shared strategies so families know how to respond consistently outside of session.

When to book

Book this service when your child is struggling emotionally, avoiding situations, having repeated conflicts, feeling stuck, or needing support before concerns become harder to manage.
