In addition to obtaining a Social Services Worker Diploma in 1993, I also completed the Bachelor of Social Work Program through Laurentian University. I am currently registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers.
I have been employed since 1993 in a variety of settings. I have worked within the Youth Justice System, Child Welfare and Foster Care as well as children’s mental health. My current role as a Service Coordinator has me working with families who have children and youth with complex special needs. Much of my role has me advocating and liaising with other community partners and the family to meet the family’s identified goals and needs.
I believe in a client centered approach that focuses on empathetic and supportive listening to address concerns that are specific to you. I believe in empowering the client to take on an active role in their therapy and I utilize a solution focused and strength based approach to working with individuals.
In my personal life, I love spending time with my family outdoors regardless of the season. On weekends you will find me camping fishing with my family and friends.
