Jason Pamma

Counsellor

Hello, my name is Jason. I am passionate about supporting individuals through periods of growth, challenge, and change. I believe that everyone deserves to feel safe, valued, and understood, and I strive to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel welcomed, respected, and supported in their journey.

I have experience working with youth in community-based settings, including shelters and supportive services, where I have supported individuals from diverse backgrounds and life circumstances. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to providing care that is compassionate, inclusive, trauma-informed, and grounded in respect for each person’s lived experience. I am completing graduate studies in Counselling Psychology.

My therapeutic approach is integrative and collaborative, drawing primarily from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) while incorporating mindfulness-based strategies, solution-focused techniques, and strengths-based practices. I view therapy as a partnership, where clients are active participants in exploring challenges, identifying strengths, and developing practical tools they can use both within and outside of sessions. I value patience, empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard as central to building a strong therapeutic relationship.

I recognize that each client’s needs, goals, and pace are unique, and I tailor my approach accordingly. Outside of my professional role, I enjoy swimming and reading, which help me maintain balance and a renewed presence in my clinical work.
