As an Ontario Certified Teacher with over ten years of experience working with children, adolescents and families, I believe that when students feel supported, they can deeply engage in their learning, overcome challenges, and develop a strong sense of self.
I had the privilege of teaching students diagnosed with various learning, emotional and behavioural disorders, such as ADHD, dyslexia, anxiety, and depression. Also, I conducted community programs that aim to provide students with practical skills and coping mechanisms to deal with bullying and conflict in school and their personal lives.
I hold a Master’s degree in Child Study and Education from the University of Toronto, and I am completing my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology.
As an Educational Counsellor, I am dedicated to fostering self-confidence and resilience in each student while helping them recognize their unique strengths and capabilities. Every student has their path to success, so I provide tools and strategies to navigate challenges, set meaningful goals, and build the confidence to achieve them. I encourage the development of essential life skills such as self-regulation, empathy, critical thinking, communication, organization, time management and goal setting. These meaningful skills will empower students to take charge of their academic success and prepare them for lifelong personal growth and emotional well-being.
