Counselor

If you are struggling with a child, young adult, or adolescent, that has issues with; emotional regulation, unable to recognize social cues, are expressing themselves through anger, becoming weighed down from depressive or anxious thoughts, I’m here to help them navigate those feelings. My style of Counselling focuses on a compassionate, integrated, responsive talk therapy that helps them get in touch with their feelings, actions, behaviours, and how it is impacting their lives. Building emotional intelligence in children not only helps them navigate childhood into adulthood, but it also allows them to be more empathic, establish self-confidence and maintain positive relationships throughout life. In conjunction with Counselling, my Clinical Nutrition background integrates these skills to help children improve their behaviours, habits, and beliefs around food. Using a collaborative family approach, we work together to develop nutrition strategies that support their ADHD/ASD, to improve their emotional regulation. If this is something your child is struggling with, let’s work together to help them live inclusively with food.
